El  cuento “Tajimara”, fue tomado como base, junto con el  cuento “Alma pura” de Carlos Fuentes,  para la pelicula mexica Los Bienamados producida por Manuel Barbuchano Ponce en 1965. en cuyo filme participaron como guionistas  los respectivos autores de los cuentos.
